Liberals show tremendous compassion in pushing for generous government spending to help the neediest people at home and abroad. Yet when it comes to individual contributions to charitable causes, liberals are cheapskates.

Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, “Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.

Other research has reached similar conclusions. The “generosity index” from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so.

The upshot is that Democrats, who speak passionately about the hungry and homeless, personally fork over less money to charity than Republicans — the ones who try to cut health insurance for children.

“When I started doing research on charity,” Mr. Brooks wrote, “I expected to find that political liberals — who, I believed, genuinely cared more about others than conservatives did — would turn out to be the most privately charitable people. So when my early findings led me to the opposite conclusion, I assumed I had made some sort of technical error. I re-ran analyses. I got new data. Nothing worked. In the end, I had no option but to change my views.”

Something similar is true internationally. European countries seem to show more compassion than America in providing safety nets for the poor, and they give far more humanitarian foreign aid per capita than the United States does. But as individuals, Europeans are far less charitable than Americans.

Americans give sums to charity equivalent to 1.67 percent of G.N.P., according to a terrific new book, “Philanthrocapitalism,” by Matthew Bishop and Michael Green. The British are second, with 0.73 percent, while the stingiest people on the list are the French, at 0.14 percent.

(Looking away from politics, there’s evidence that one of the most generous groups in America is gays. Researchers believe that is because they are less likely to have rapacious heirs pushing to keep wealth in the family.)

When liberals see the data on giving, they tend to protest that conservatives look good only because they shower dollars on churches — that a fair amount of that money isn’t helping the poor, but simply constructing lavish spires.

It’s true that religion is the essential reason conservatives give more, and religious liberals are as generous as religious conservatives. Among the stingiest of the stingy are secular conservatives.

According to Google’s figures, if donations to all religious organizations are excluded, liberals give slightly more to charity than conservatives do. But Mr. Brooks says that if measuring by the percentage of income given, conservatives are more generous than liberals even to secular causes.

In any case, if conservative donations often end up building extravagant churches, liberal donations frequently sustain art museums, symphonies, schools and universities that cater to the well-off. (It’s great to support the arts and education, but they’re not the same as charity for the needy. And some research suggests that donations to education actually increase inequality because they go mostly to elite institutions attended by the wealthy.)

Conservatives also appear to be more generous than liberals in nonfinancial ways. People in red states are considerably more likely to volunteer for good causes, and conservatives give blood more often. If liberals and moderates gave blood as often as conservatives, Mr. Brooks said, the American blood supply would increase by 45 percent.

So, you’ve guessed it! This column is a transparent attempt this holiday season to shame liberals into being more charitable. Since I often scold Republicans for being callous in their policies toward the needy, it seems only fair to reproach Democrats for being cheap in their private donations. What I want for Christmas is a healthy competition between left and right to see who actually does more for the neediest.

Of course, given the economic pinch these days, charity isn’t on the top of anyone’s agenda. Yet the financial ability to contribute to charity, and the willingness to do so, are strikingly unrelated. Amazingly, the working poor, who have the least resources, somehow manage to be more generous as a percentage of income than the middle class.

So, even in tough times, there are ways to help. Come on liberals, redeem yourselves, and put your wallets where your hearts are.

Feb. 20 and 21, I attended the first "Social Justice conference" staged by the BC Teachers' Federation at University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotford.

It was an eye-opener!

Although the stated purpose of the conference was to show teachers how to approach the Social Justice 12 curriculum adopted under BC's Corren Settlement Agreement, an underlying purpose was clearly revealed by a graphic of a staircase, distributed by the BCTF in its information packages: the goal is to move students' attitude towards LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning) people beyond "tolerance" to "acceptance" - and then further along to "support," "admiration," "appreciation" and finally "celebration" of deviant sexuality.

Most Canadians have never seen what constitutes "celebration" of homosexuality, but our big cities' annual "Gay Pride" parades clearly show the reality: public nudity (partial and/or total), simulated fornication, lasciviousness - and open mockery of traditional morality.

This exposure of the BCTF's real goal - to manipulate the attitudes of students until the "Prescribed Learning Outcome" of celebration is attained - reveals that the teachers' union is actually in violation of its own code of ethics, which forbids using the classroom for indoctrination.

What has given the BCTF this extraordinary power to manipulate the attitudes of BC's children? The cowardice of a pusillanimous government, and especially of two cabinet ministers - Education Minister Shirley Bond and Attorney-General Wally Oppal - who reached a secret agreement with two homosexual activists without ever allowing debate in the Legislature.

Those same ministers have consistently resisted efforts by parents' groups to have a countervailing voice in the education of their children on sensitive topics.

This BCTF conference similarly lacked any opportunity for input from parents who want to resist manipulation of their children's curriculum to make acceptance of homosexuality a goal.

The February conference was the first of four planned to train BC teachers how to implement the Correns' 'Social Justice 12' curriculum. It did not deal with the companion - and more radical - teacher's guide "Making Space, Giving Voice," which the Correns were able to force on a supine Ministry of Education. "Making Space, Giving Voice" instructs teachers how to make every subject, at every level from Kindergarten to Grade 12, 'gay'-friendly.

In one workshop, a teacher suggested that if a student says his or her parents disapprove of homosexual behaviour, he (the teacher) deflects the comment by saying, "Well, different people have different ideas about sex."

"That won't accomplish the kind of change we need," said Dr. Martha Dow, a professor in the Department of Social, Cultural and Media Studies at UFV. "Students feel silenced by that kind of comment. 'What does everybody think?' is a bigoted comment. We need to decide who we want silenced."

So such students are to be told that their parents' ideas are wrong. Perhaps not all parents: Prof. Dow repeatedly identified "Evangelicals and Fundamentalists" as the perceived problem.

That theme recurred in several sessions. The result of the BCTF's unilateral advocacy that "gay is good" can only be to drive a wedge between children and their parents. And the long-term social result of that alienation would be worse than the problems they are trying to correct.

However, the BCTF apparently operates on the assumption that they are in possession of an absolute truth - even though peer-reviewed science has discredited every claim of discovery of a "gay gene"; and even though medical studies indicate that homosexual behaviour shortens life expectancy dramatically. To "true believers" in the BCTF dogma, such facts are apparently irrelevant.

Their position is essentially religious - a fact that was vividly highlighted by a teacher who said in a Friday workshop, "I don't think I can teach this without being converted."

The conference was lamentably short on factual information-but presenters were quite willing to reiterate falsehoods, like the "10 percent myth," based on the discredited 1948 and 1953 Reports of self-styled "sexologist" Alfred Kinsey. (Kinsey alleged that 10 percent of the population is homosexual; however the 2003 Canadian Community Health Survey showed that only one percent of the population identify themselves as homosexual.)

Dr. Judith Reisman, in her book Kinsey: Crimes and Consequences, revealed that Kinsey's "research" included criminal sexual abuse of infants, and that a substantial part of his survey population was drawn from prison inmates and 'gay' bars-but they were represented by Kinsey as typical of the whole population. Kinsey himself was a homosexual who died from orchitis, an inflammation of the testes often caused by excessive sexual self-abuse.

Keynote speaker, Alex Sanchez, brought in from Florida to deliver a message called "Faith and Spirituality", claims to be a 'gay' Christian. He said in one of his workshops: "Jesus didn't say anything about homosexuality." Of course, that's utterly untrue: Jesus affirmed every jot and tittle of the Mosaic Law, which includes explicit prohibitions against sodomy.

Referring to the Mosaic Law in Leviticus 18:22, one participant asked me, "So, does that give you the right to stone me?"

"No," I answered. "For two reasons: one is that the same Torah says there must be at least two eyewitnesses - 'You shall not put a man to death on the testimony of one witness' - and because you say you're trusting Jesus for your salvation … and He died to pay the penalty for your sins and mine. But just as with the adulterous woman, He says, 'I don't condemn you; go and sin no more.'"

The conference was not without merit: participating teachers were given some useful tips on correcting students who use slurs or bully other students.

But the underlying theme - BCTF's absolute certainty that only their pro-'gay' dogma is correct, and they have the right to impose it on BC's children because "we're professional educators" - was terrifying: such use of government power to compel conformity is the very essence of fascism.

Here is a 12 year old girl, who is able to say what Obama has such a hard time arguing.

She mentions how only 1% of abortions are from rape, etc. To accept it just for that purpose is hardly justifiable. Why take a terrible situation and make it more terrible.

It will take a many days before the world, especially the priests (ie. scientists) to figure out that we are not god and that we can not take life and make life as we please.

You may remember a Seinfeld segment about the brassiere or mansierre, but this was for men with larger bosoms. But not in Japan, this is for men as underwear, to feel support? Well actually, it has become one of the top items for cross dressers.

Obama, All at Sea

For those who missed this article by Mark Styen, it is a beauty. Does anyone else wonder what the great President of "change" is up to next. Ranting about acting now, or we will be in an utter catastrophe! I just want to point out, I have never backed this "yes we can" attitude and "Washington doesn't change the people, the people change Washington" rhetoric.

This poor guy has gone way over his head. You can see it in him, he is stressed out. And why wouldn't he be. His $900 Billion stimulus package isn't making it through Senate. Not a single Republican voted for it in the House and now the Senate is doing the same thing. But what I don't get is that the Senate could pass this bill today, with the help of 1 or 2 Republicans, but it seems the Senate fears this. They want to hook more Republicans into it, so they can share the blame for the failure of this package.

This isn't an economic stimulus, this is a socialist stimulus. Spend billions to create new programs, take responsibility away from the people and let the government take care of everyone's needs. He is even going to chase away big corporations. Limiting their cap on executive payouts, but even there, there are loop holes.

Well I guess if you are going to fail, might as well fail with a bang!

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile, slate it up to irreconcilable differences, and go our own ways.

Here is a model dissolution agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell (you are however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies, and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan Hockey Moms, greedy CEO's, and Rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran, Palestine, and France, and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protestors. When our allies or way of life are under assault, we'll provide them job security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian Values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClain. You can have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill. We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru Station Wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare, if you can find any practicing Doctors (that is practicing, Howard Dean) who will follow to your turf (sic). We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and The National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach The World To Sing, Kum Ba Ya, or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics, and you can give trickle up poverty its best shot.

Since it often so offends you we'll keep our History, our Name, and our Flag.

Global Warming - Nice try Al Gore!

That's what seems to be the word on the street. You see it all over America (not so much in Canada, as it is still a politically correct issue) in Alaska, and now we get the founder of the weather channel, who once again blasts Al Gore for his Global Warming hoax and calls it the "greatest scam in history." Read the report here on fox.

I thought I was nuts because it seemed that everyone was falling for this global warming scheme and I just didn't buy it. Now I see that "we" are making headlines. Maybe there is hope, and instead of spending billions of dollars on the earth, maybe we can spend that money on healthcare and other necessary things.

DISCLAIMER: I am for cleaning up of our pollutants, but to call CO2 the gas to end the world as we know it is just plan rediculous.

Obama Mania!

The USA finally got their black president in office! History has been accomplished, the Americans have proved that they are NOT racist. The flood gates of opportunity for the poor blacks is opened. Right now there is only 1 black American in Congress, perhaps we can shoot for more, and perhaps a female black American. Wouldn't that be quite something. Black people have been set free from slav...oh wait that was back in the late 1800's. I forgot that there was no such thing as colour of our skin. Just yesterday the Americans celebrated Martin Luther King Jr's birthday and people are taking his whole speech out of context and are performing a reverse racism. MLK Jr. said not to judge the person by the "colour of your skin, but the content of their character." Well that does not bode well for our President Obama.

Who voted for him based on his character? Who voted for him based on the colour of his skin? Well, there were record number of black Americans voting (I will not come to the conclusion they voted for Obama because he was black), not just black Americans but young black and white Americans. Christians, Muslims, atheists and all others voted for him. He was the one to bring America together. He was the promised savior that all have been waiting for. Reminds me of Israel before the days for the Kings. They cried so much for a king, to be like the other nations. God heard their cries, told them that life would not be easy under a king but they continued to cry for one. So he gave them Saul.

Did Saul prove to be a better leader than God? No, rather he made the Israelites sweat and work hard to pay for taxes, to provide the King with animals, precious metals and other exotic items.

So the Americans have asked for their king. Ironically he came to the white house riding on a donkey as well. . Do you think that by crying for change will give the change you want. I know many Christians who are caught in the obama mania, they adore this man. The only disagreement they have with him, abortion. Hoping that he will do an about turn on the abortion debate, vote for him for the change that America needs.

What does the President do in his first week? I will give you 2 guesses (hint: it is also the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade).....alright, I just want to blurt it out, Obama Overturns 'Mexico City Policy' . Now what is worse is that this is for funding oversees "Family planning" organizations. He wants to help the Africans out. Now watch how sneakily he does this. He did behind closed doors out of the media eye, because it was a sensitive subject and it after the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. He thought it would be nice if he did this for the pro lifers, so it wouldn't be so combative.

Here is an economicly turmoil time, a time where the American health care system is not very good. A time where American people need change and a time where they need assistance, and Obama thinks it best to help people in other countries? Did I miss something. Other than the moral problem here, how about the ethical problem. He doesn't even care about the people that voted him in.

Not a single media covered this devastation. People are so blind by all this hype, they miss the other problem. Let's continue to watch as Obama unfolds his Change for America.

Am I tolerant? Part 1

The war between Gaza and Israel has now be going on for some time now (well actually there is a cease fire between the two). And throughout the world we are hearing about how this inhumane war just keeps going on. How Israel is creating the New Holocaust. They have killed UN workers, killed civilians, and even bombed a school. Oh the humanity, I forgot that we were just playing war. Those crazy Israelis. You can go on You Tube and find a kazillion videos of protests all over the world.

Montreal, Toronto and of course London had some bizarre pro-hamas rallies. Pushing the police around and in the UK calling them cowards and swine. All the police are doing there is to make sure that things don't get out of hand. They aren't there because they are pro-Israel. They are doing their job to maintain peace and protection in their land.

We are in Canada, and there are Neo-Nazis marching with Pro-Hamas Protestors, here is the story. Here is a nice photo, where they get prime marching grounds. Does that make any sense to you. One day they are enemies, but find some common ground and become brothers. Burning flags and chanting "Burn Israel" isn't very nice. Doesn't send a tolerable message to anyone.

We have to be so politically correct that we overstep the boundary and become intolerant on the other end. Where the left and right meet on both extremes. How can we have these marches going on in Canada? We have to be polite to the same people that want to kill us! I heard a quote from one of the Scandinavian Politicians who said that we should be nice to the muslims now, so that when they take over they will be nice to us?!? Does this make sense to you?

They are going to allow them to run right over top of them, while we have to bend over backwords to please them? I will have nothing to do with this. Does this make me intolerant?

Of course I am! Why? It's not because of what I think, rather (and this is backwords), who I am. Who am I you ask? See below:

Race - Caucasian
Religion - Christian
Citizenship - Canadian
Economic System - Capitalist

Not only am I a male, I am a white male. But that isn't the worst part, I mean how many white males do you know that are strong minded and have a voice - 1 maybe 2 of your friends. White males are so easy to push over, because we know we are always wrong. We know that we are sexist and we are the superior race, Right? So we have to bend over for all others, women, immigrants, etc. And generally white males do this.

But now here is where the problem comes. I am a white male....Chris " BAM " tian! Ohhh, what was that?!?! I was just clobbered over the head. I am a Christian white male. The kicker. I suppose if I was a white male atheist it would be a different story, because atheists are so kind and understanding. They are trying to make a better life for society.

I recently watched the God Delusion, by the infamous Richard Dawkins. Now this man seems like he is doing what is best for society. He talks in a very calm and sensible manner and really has this tolerable "hatred" for God and Christians (if that even makes sense.) He wants what is best for society, and he figures what is best for society is a Godless society. The basic point that I got out of it, was that he thinks only uneducated and mindless zombies believe in a God. And to a certain point, I should be careful what I say, it is true. Just the other day, my wife picked up the whole Matthew Henry commentators for FREE, along with some other theological books from a man. This man happened to have been a Minister. But he became to smart and he lost the faith and needed answers. A striking comment he made to my wife was, "whatever you do, don't get to smart!" Hmmm, is that a knock on us Christians, that we are dumb, or is a knock on the need for human answers that makes them not able to believe in the "unknown." Now I know I am walking on a thin line here, but really, are Christians just a bunch of Red Neck hicks that have no tolerance and HATE everyone else?

Secularists have taken certain words and just kicked them up one huge notch. Think about it, what is hate? Hate is a deadly word. To say that I hate something is like saying that I would do anything not to have this. Hate to a Christian is breaking the 6th commandment. What is Hate?

As kids we used this word quite freely, and I will emphasis that - KIDS. We would HATE school, HATE going to bed, HATE eating vegetables. Or we would even say, when really upset "I HATE you." But these are words that are spoken by a child, who really doesn't know what the word means. Now, here we have full grown adults who still use this word HATE. Look at the newest law - HATE crime laws. We are irresponsible adults and we act like a bunch of children!

I started to do a little research on line, about this tolerance bit. And to my surprise, if you google am I tolerant, there are a lot of hits. Try it out for yourselves, and than you can find out if you are tolerant. So we need someone else to tell us if we are tolerant. The ironies of the whole tolerant movement are just hilarious.

Recently Israel attacked the Gaza Strip. Now it wasn't just this random attack, they didn't just wake up and say, let's use our army and beat the living daylights out of the Palestinians and use some excuse for it. NO! Hamas has been daily sending rockets into Israel, and Israel said no more. Hamas never listened and you get what we have today.

But the protester against Israel and this genocidal war is unbelievable. This tolerant and peaceful people are rioting to get their message across. I have posted about this before and won't go back there, but isn't it ironic?

Sure I disagree with multiculturalism, and I have a big problem with immigrants not integrating into our society. I have a problem with our Judicial system and how easy it is for criminals to get out of jail free. It is like they get that community card in Monopoly - Get out of Jail. But that doesn't make me a HATEr of immigrants and criminals. It doesn't make me someone who HATEs the Palestinians.

Democracy is a system of ideas. Free thinking, discussion, and opposition. This is what Canada and for that matter the Western World are. We are suppose to think differently and discuss our differences. If because I am a Christian and of course a white male, shouldn't change anything. Otherwise we have lost the basic right of humanity. We can't force anything upon anyone.

We can try and make a country more civilized in the way one thinks, for instance, as a Christian, I would like Sundays a day of rest, a day where families can hang out and take a day off from work. Imagine, 1 day a week, where Canada stops its work and is given the opportunity to relax and enjoy communion with others. Can you imagine what Canada would be like today.

Am I intolerant of those who don't share my beliefs? No, I feel sorry for them that they aren't able to enjoy this freedom we have as Christians.

But, go ahead, push as much as you can against God and Christianity (the intolerable people). You will just open the door for something far worse than you could imagine. A world where there is no feminist, homosexual or socialist movement. A world where it will be intolerable to do anything but what the law says. A world where you get stoned or get beheaded because you are a feminist or gay.

If we keep going on this tolerant path, I am afraid we are going to end the western world as we know it. Tolerance is a scary word, and use it carefully.

How about we learn how to make life better for our neighbours instead of ourselves. Then, and only then will we see how horrible we have been living. Tomorrow, when you go outside and see your neighbour in the driveway, say hello and be interested in their life. See how much better your life will become. If we all do this, watch the word Tolerant leave our dictionary because we are all going to want to do what is best for each other and our children.

I could only imagine how much money Al Gore is cashing in right now. This guy is doing speeches all over the world (in a gas guzzling private jet none the less) giving global warming speeches. But ironically about a month ago, the British Supreme Court gave the movie created by Al "Almighty" Gore a thumbs down. There are 10 lies in the movie, 10 "facts" that have no link to global warming. Not only that, because the movie is presented in every class, they have to now add at the beginning of the movie "this is just one side of the story" as it is a politically motivated movie. All because 1 truck driver was upset that school children were being indoctrinated by false teachings.

So what? What does this mean? Well maybe for beginners this is a start at showing how full of lies our liberal fascist friends are. What they will do to scare us! The scare continues.

In BC the liberal government just introduced the Carbon Tax. This tax is suppose to make us use our gas powered vehicles at 2.34 cents per litre. Well that was a thought out plan last year when gas was at around $90.00 a barrel. Today we are at $130 and price at the pump is up to $1.40. This is what is going to change our habits, not some "look at me I am protecting the environment" carbon tax. Anyways, to get the residents of BC to really get emotional about this, they aired this commercial (on our tax dollars of course) to show the affects of Global Warming. There are 5 scenes, the Kelowna Fire, melting glaciers, droughts, record flooding and the wind storm that hit Stanley park and knocked over some trees.

All 5 are false. The Kelowna Fire was big, but not that big - it was just near a community that gives it a better "emotional affect." The melting glaciers are also false. In California, the scientist have just released a statement saying that many of their glaciers are growing! All these are playing on peoples emotions and trying to buy sympathy votes. Unfortunately here in BC we are stuck with the Liberals as there is no way a capitalist would vote for a NDP'er.

These leaders are trying to please their "god" (Al Gore) in creating this man made catastrophe. They worship the earth and don't want to destroy her because there is no other place than this one. Don't read that wrong, I believe we are to take care of the place the God created us, and we should be concerned about pollution. But when we take billions of dollars and put it into the man-made religion rather than take care of the poor, boy we have a demoralized world.

The religion of global warming seems to be taking off faster than I would've thought. How many people can be sucked into this man-made abomination. Time and time again, proof of this "catastrophe" is proved wrong. Although there may be warming or Climate Change, this has been happening for decades. It warms up, than it cools. It is also important to remember that we are on this world for 1 purpose. To glorify God. And in doing so we must be good stewards of this earth - our home made from God.

Now I am going to quote some Hitler quotes, because I find that it is very interesting how the same tactics are being used today. Tell me how this compares to today's global warming scheme:

All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.

Nothing has changed. There are still veterans of the world wars alive and we have already forgot about the injustice that Hilter did to the world. Here we can see the EXACT same thing being said - just more fuzzy because people are so sensitive nowadays. Read the quote here in the national post. Suzuki goes on to say

"What I would challenge you to do is to put a lot of effort into trying to see whether there's a legal way of throwing our so-called leaders into jail because what they're doing is a criminal act..."

Well excuse me...than he goes on to say

"It's an intergenerational crime in the face of all the knowledge and science from over 20 years."

This guy is unbelievable. So now he is basing all our global hype on the past 20 years. That is absurd. Not only that but the fact that his (and let's not forget about Al Gore) theory is being swallowed up by everyone. There is just too much garbage and hypocracy out there to believe a word of it. Let me give you several examples.

Our buddy Al Gore buys Carbon Credits to offset his use of carbon. How much sense does that make. Offsetting isn't going to heal your big catastrophe. You have to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in order for this to really do anything. So If you don't fly a plane, I can buy your credits to fly. But shouldn't it really be, I have so many credits once I am done, to bad so sad. By keeping the greenhouse gas at a leveled point of today is disastreous. Already the warming is going to fast, if something is going to be done and you believe in this crap, sell your car, bike to work and never use an airplane.

Our global warming buddies are flying all over the world to discuss global warming. Or how about the concerts put on throughout the world to celebrate Earth Day. Did people know that flying is a thousand times worse than driving. Airpollution created by airplanes is horrible. Look at air quality levels around an airport and that is all the proof you need. I thought this link was sorta interesting.

But one of my favorites is our best bud, David Suzuki. During his cross-country tour, he drove a big diesel burning bus with eight people in it.

"It's kind of too fancy for our needs," admitted Jason Curan(a media staff member on the Suzuki tour) "But it does the job."

Then when asked why a diesel he said

"We were hoping to have biodiesel," Curan explained by phone, as the Suzuki tour drove out of Winnipeg. "But we were told towards the beginning of the tour -- for this company that we're going through -- that it would void the warranty."

Void the warranty? This is the foundation that tell us to get rid of our cars, buy hybrids and car-pool. But when it comes to their own monies, than they can't do it because it is going to void the warranty.

My second favorite bud, Al Gore, was off in Japan showing off his greenery. On his way back to the airport, he takes the bullet train. A luxery train, so it suited his needs and also showed that he was green and didn't need a car. But one had to wonder, the guy was not in Japan for the day, so where was his suitcase? Well, believe me when I say this, it was on a Mercedes on the way to the airport. Another point, this guy flies all over the world, charges over $3300 Euro's per minute - to preach about global warming!

So how are Nazism and Global Warming the same? They both involve lies, playing on peoples consciences and man-made worries (make pure race to perfect the world vs. make pollution free world to save the "mother nature"). Both lead by self-righteous, self-involved people, who don't care about the welfare of their neighbours. You can see more here (my favorite) and here.

Now my question would be, why would someone trust these individuals who are making us pay for all these taxes to support their religion. May I ask, if you are that gullable, please will you buy these magic beans I have.

Fellow blogger Ezra has done a little research on our buddies up in their highest of courts, or maybe I should say the highest of animal courts? Kangaroo courts?

Before I get going on this one, every time I hear this kangaroo court, I am reminded of my early school years. During the school year, there was 1 week set aside to show school pride. Every day of that week was a certain day, say nursery rhyme day. Everyone dressed as a character from a nursery rhyme. (I don't know how this showed school pride). Nevertheless, at the end of the week, there was a kangaroo court. This court would sentence all those who did not participate. Of course since it was a kangaroo court, no rules applied. The judgement was harsh, for instance, rolling gum balls on the floor with your nose, pies being thrown into one anothers faces. I mean it was just a kangaroo court. There weren't even lawyers, just a judge (who by the way was the student council president), and with the rest of the council already decided on the punishment before the "court" even began its trial.

The beauty of this story is that that is exactly what is happening here in Canada. The best example to date - the Ontario Human Rights Commissioner Barbara Hall, condemning our friends Mark Steyn and Macleans for their offensive article, without even having a court case. I guess if it was more like our court where if Macleans is guilty than Elsmary can throw a pie in his face, would just seem like a punishment that would come from these kangaroo courts.

So how much money are we paying these roo's? How much are we paying them to keep our streets pure from hate and evil? How much are we paying them to tell us what is right and wrong? I mean, how can you put a price for what they are doing to help this society.

Well according to some research this is what is happening

The feds spend about $25-million/year, and have 170 staff (plus contractors).

But there are 13 other HRCs in Canada, each with their own budgets and staffs. I was just reading, for example, that Nova Scotia has about 25 staff.

I haven't added them all up precisely, but I estimate that, nation-wide, there are probably 1,000 people working full-time for HRCs, and probably another 1,000 who work as contractors/indirectly.

Similarly, I'd estimate that the total budget, for all 14 commissions, is $200 million.

It's an industry.

Well I guess that isn't too bad. You can't put a price on a free society. Especially a society where you don't have to bother with deciding what is right and wrong. That is why we have this quasi-judical system set up. I mean what do I know? I don't have a doctors degree, or a masters. Let the thinkers tell us what to do.

Why is the world so consumed with sexuality?

What caught my attention was a CKNW talk radio show on Tuesday, June 10. The talk show was dealing with how some women just don't want sex, or have sex once a month or so. How we have to take care of ourselves first and need to figure out our sexual feelings. Then what really bothered me was the fact that the talk show host and her guest went on talking about how we have to teach (educate in sex ed) our young girls that sex is fun and good. It isn't for just making babies.

Can you believe what you just read! Of course sex is suppose to be fun, but the fact that we need to educate our children this is beyond me. Why do schools have to "educate" our children on sex? Why do they have to explain that sex is a natural thing to do anytime they (the children) are ready.

Shouldn't we be teaching our children to wait until marriage? It would cut down on so many other issues that we are faced. Abortion, sexually transmitted diseases, date rape, peer pressure of being a virgin, teenage moms, and the list can go on. I am not saying these issues are going to go away, I am just saying they would become less main stream. This article gives no hope to parents really, unless you are from a tight social or religious community. Society it seems just wants to give in to pressures from hollywood and other secularist movements. Like we hear with drugs, can't fight it so make them all legal, at least we will get the taxes from it.

Well at least thee article got one thing right, and that is communication between parent and child. You will notice no school involvement there.

So why are we so obsessed with sex? I put the onus on ourselves. We have forgotten to love one another and are totally engorged in ourselves and our own desires. We need to satisfy our needs. Even Maslow's hierarchy of needs has sex as a physiological need. Something we need to have otherwise we will never reach self-actualization. But what if we taught abstinence and taught just plain math, sciences, english, geography, you know the real subjects that are going to advance our children minds. You don't go into college or University to learn about sex, unless of course you go into some sort of medical field.

In the United States, the abstinence program is the program funded by the federal government. If you teach it, you get funding for it. If you teach sex, no funding for you. There are many who are upset about this because it doesn't teach kids about sex, homosexuality and other orientations, other choices like abortion, contraceptives if they were to have sex. But why can't the parents teach this?

Why are we so obsessed with teaching our children about sex, homosexuality at such a young age? My thoughts for today.

Rev. Stephen Boissoin guilty of Hate Crimes?

I fear for my family in Canada. Crazy eh! I fear for my family in Canada, a first world nation, a country many regard as the most civilized, friendly, and appealing place on earth to live. A place where one is free to do as they please, think as they want and do as they wish (within the guidelines of the Canadian Law).

I fear for my family right now because we are under attack. Under thought attack, under attack of the freedom that is the foundation of democracy. The freedom that sets Canada apart from the rest of the world. The freedom that allows us to participate in lively discussions, or if you wish arguments. The freedom that allows ideas to fly and new ways to think. Yes my friends, the FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Canada as we know it, is under attack. Little did we know these Human Right Commissions were attacking us from within. They were attacking the little guys, the guys who didn't have a voice and they knew that we would never hear them. The problem, if I could call it that for their sake, was that the Human Rights Commission got greedy. They weren't busy enough, so they took on bigger and "better" cases. We see Ezra Levant getting into trouble, Mark Steyn along with Macleans get served notice. Oops on their part, because these 3 weren't going to stay quiet.

But what about the little guys? What about our friend Rev. Stephen Boissoin, who is even belittled by the Alberta Human Rights Commission by calling him Mr. Stephen Boissoin but calling Mr. Lund - Dr. Lund:

On Monday, June 17, 2002, the Red Deer Advocate Newspaper, published a letter to the editor entitled “Homosexual Agenda Wicked”, written by Mr. Stephen Boissoin, executive director, Concerned Christian Coalition Inc. (CCC). On July 22, 2002, Dr. Lund, a professor at the University of Calgary, filed a formal human rights complaint against Mr. Boissoin and the CCC. Dr. Lund complained that the letter contravened the Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act (2000) Section 3 on the grounds of sexual orientation and the area of Publications and Notices.

Not only that, but Ms. Andreachuck wants this minister to denounce his religion, apologize in the paper and pay $7000 even though no one was hurt:

In this case, there is no specific individual who can be compensated as there is no direct victim who has come forward...

When I was growing up, my Dad would say to us 'I feel sorry for your generation, because there is going to be 'persecution' against you guys!' and I never believed him. I would always say 'Dad, we are in Canada, not Pakistan!'. Little did I know, here we are today, fighting for our freedom of speech. Fighting to have our thoughts and opinions protected. If the Alberta Human Rights Commission can silence a pastor, the door is opened for a lot more worse things. If 1 commission can silence a pastor, other commissions will look at their ruling and rule their cases similar to this one.

I have posted below, what Rev. Stephen Boissoin wrote in the Red Deer Advocate and you tell me, is this a hate crime or is it just someone`s opinion and if I don`t like it than so be it!

The following is not intended for those who are suffering from an unwanted sexual identity crisis. For you, I have understanding, care, compassion and tolerance. I sympathize with you and offer you my love and fellowship. I prayerfully beseech you to seek help, and I assure you that your present enslavement to homosexuality can be remedied. Many outspoken, former homosexuals are free today.

Instead, this is aimed precisely at every individual that in any way supports the homosexual machine that has been mercilessly gaining ground in our society since the 1960s. I cannot pity you any longer and remain inactive. You have caused far too much damage.

From kindergarten class on, our children, your grandchildren are being strategically targeted, psychologically abused and brainwashed by homosexual and pro-homosexual educators.

Our children are being victimized by repugnant and premeditated strategies, aimed at desensitizing and eventually recruiting our young into their camps. Think about it, children as young as five and six years of age are being subjected to psychologically and physiologically damaging pro-homosexual literature and guidance in the public school system; all under the fraudulent guise of equal rights.

Your children are being warped into believing that same-sex families are acceptable; that men kissing men is appropriate.

Your teenagers are being instructed on how to perform so-called safe same gender oral and anal sex and at the same time being told that it is normal, natural and even productive. Will your child be the next victim that tests homosexuality positive?

Come on people, wake up! It's time to stand together and take whatever steps are necessary to reverse the wickedness that our lethargy has authorized to spawn. Where homosexuality flourishes, all manner of wickedness abounds.

Regardless of what you hear, the militant homosexual agenda isn't rooted in protecting homosexuals from "gay bashing." The agenda is clearly about homosexual activists that include, teachers, politicians, lawyers, Supreme Court judges, and God forbid, even so-called ministers, who are all determined to gain complete equality in our nation and even worse, our world.

Don't allow yourself to be deceived any longer. These activists are not morally upright citizens, concerned about the best interests of our society. They are perverse, self-centered and morally deprived individuals who are spreading their psychological disease into every area of our lives. Homosexual rights activists and those that defend them, are just as immoral as the pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps that plague our communities.

The homosexual agenda is not gaining ground because it is morally backed. It is gaining ground simply because you, Mr. and Mrs. Heterosexual, do nothing to stop it. It is only a matter of time before some of these morally bankrupt individuals such as those involved with NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Lovers Association, will achieve their goal to have sexual relations with children and assert that it is a matter of free choice and claim that we are intolerant bigots not to accept it.

If you are reading this and think that this is alarmist, then I simply ask you this: how bad do things have to become before you will get involved? It's time to start taking back what the enemy has taken from you. The safety and future of our children is at stake.

Imagine a public school sitting children down and teaching them about Christianity. Teaching kids that we must love our neighbours as ourselves and that we must not live life for ourselves but for God and our neighbour. Teach them the golden rule "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Good morals, good values and good common sense.

Now imagine public schools but wait not just public schools but public elementary schools indoctrinating our children with the homosexuality lifestyle. Teaching them that we are in this world for ourselves. Doesn't matter about children or our neighbour. You do what you want! There is no neighbour in our society today. If you don't look after yourself, who will? Of course, this is obvious. Society has thrown God and the bible down the toilet because we don't need someone telling us what to do. And with our neighbour now gone, who will take care of us.

When I first watched it, I realized my son was behind me and immediately shut it off. The teachers (people who are suppose to educate, not provide social ideological ideas) made the whole ideal a sad story. Awww, this person has 2 moms and she wasn't allowed to go on a field trip because the permission slip wasn't filled out properly. They are filling our childrens minds with emotional mumbo jumbo.

Reminds me of a saying Mussolini said , based on the Jesuit maxim, “Give me the child for his first seven years and I’ll give you the man." or Hilter would say "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future." This is what secularists are doing, taking our children indoctrinating them with crude, and unnatural.

A whole other topic is what is happening in California. In California, schools are teaching their children that the word Jihad means "doing good things". They are making children take on Muslim names, pray to Allah, wear robes and makeup their own Jihad. And to top that all off, a federal judge is claiming that what the schools are doing is educating our children, not indoctrinating, what a Christian group is saying they are doing.

Try introduce a Christian class where people pray the LORD`s PRAYER, that would just not fly nowadays. We will take a look at this issue another time. Enjoy your weekend.

I accuse. The various federal and provincial human rights commissions of discrimination. Against me. Because for years now I have spoken out against same-sex marriage, the excesses of the gay community and Muslim extremism in my column as well as on my radio and television shows.

A total of 250,000 people watch the latter and the radio program is on the largest station in Canada. Good Lord, I've even made speeches on these issues, addressing thousands of people.

I know that some people have complained about me to certain commissions, but I also know that the commissions in question have rejected the complaints. Yet as the B.C. Human Rights bunch takes on Maclean's magazine I am ignored. Why? It can only be because I am a Roman Catholic, half-Jewish, heterosexual, bald Conservative immigrant. It's offensive, unfair and horribly un-Canadian.

For years now these kangaroo courts -- fear not, Australian marsupials are not yet protected under our hate crimes legislation so I'm okay -- have gone after relatively anonymous teachers, tradesmen and church ministers who have few resources and limited connections. Come on guys, you're missing an opportunity here.

So here goes.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. If two homosexuals want to live together that is entirely up to them, but it is not and can never be a marriage.

In other words, the world's still round. The state may say otherwise, but if the state suddenly decides that the world is flat, the world is still round. I will never, while there is breath in my body, regard a same-sex union as a marriage.

Gay couples should not be allowed to adopt children, whether they are part of what they think of as a marriage or not. If at all possible children should be raised by a mother and a father.

While single parent families do obviously exist, a healthy society should aspire to a mother and father raising children. To consciously create families where one gender is not present is irresponsible and dangerous.

Islam may not be reconcilable with a western, pluralistic culture. There is not a single Islamic state that enjoys the liberal multiculturalism or respect for human rights and diversity taken for granted in almost all of the Christian-based world. The right to convert to another faith, the freedom to express unpopular opinions, the equality of women and so many other basic virtues are unusual if not impossible.

If we contrast Hindu India with its immediate neighbour Muslim Pakistan, for example, we see how one celebrates different religions and parliamentary representation while the other has been ruled by dictators and persecutes religious minorities.

Both countries were left by the British empire with equal economic potential, but while India is about to become an economic super power, Pakistan is in decay.

Only a bigot would argue that all terrorism is committed by Muslims. But only a fool would deny that Islam is the only religion that directly produces so much international terror, from Russia and Palestine to Britain and Spain and from the United States and Jordan to Indonesia and Egypt.

When sadistic brutes scream out verses from the Koran before cutting the head off a bound and screaming victim, who am I to deny that Islam is a factor? When terrorist leaders tell us time and time again that their Muslim faith inspires them, how dare we not take their word?

Dear human rights commission types, surely this is enough.

Come on now! The tolerant have become the intolerated. For years the Judeo-Christian society has been successful blooming in Western Europe and North America. Society was free and everyone was doing well, food was in abundance, clothing and shelter were readily available for all.

But as the years went by, the tolerant (Christians) were being chastised for forcing their beliefs on others. People wanted to be "free" from Christian rules and regulations. The Christians opposed the idea but, being the tolerant ones, didn't put up much of a fight. From abortion to same-sex marriage, the countries rules are changing rapidly. Not because the majority say so, but because the secularist idea is to let the minority run the land. But, being the tolerant ones, we didn't put up a fight.

But now I look back and wonder, what good has come from all this. Are we a better country for everything that we have done? Abortion has killed around 3 million babies and ironically our workforce today is so short on labour we need immigration to fill the voids. Drugs and homelessness are at an all time high, we are becoming such a selfish society that we have forgotten what is most important to us - our neighbour.

Now for the saddest irony of it all. The tolerant have become the intolerated. Christians are now being taken to court for "hate" speech. We disagree with homosexuality and that is now considered an "offensive crime". Christians are being fined because they refuse to print wedding invitations for same-sex couples. In the UK, after more than 120 years of service, the Catholic Children's Rescue Service is closing its doors because the government passed a law stating that adoption agencies can no longer be biased against same-sex couples because it would be discriminatory. Now the discrimination is on the church, apparently that doesn't matter. Closer to home now, the Correns have taken the BC government to court because the school system does not talk at all about homosexuality. As if it is the schools that should be teaching this.

It is just a vicious circle. Our governments have become too big and are too involved with our lives. In Canada we have a Human Rights Commission, and these Commissioners get to tell us which ideological thought is right and which is wrong. This sounds to much like Nazi Germany to me, but people believe it not even 100 years after the totalitarian government fell and we are already seeing the same thing all over again. Let's not stop there with the similarities, how about aborting the babies with disabilities like down syndrome. Or how about having children but than right away put them in daycare so that the government can raise them. It takes a village to raise a child, not a government. We have changed so much, has the change made us a better country?

Now is the time to stop this nonsense. It has become a thorn in our side and it is time to write the proper people and get this going. Once you take away free speech you take a way democarcy. Contact:

Bestiality

Wow, now this is a story that is worth reading. If you thought the world was weird now, wait till you read this article. Frank Kameny, a homosexual activist who successfully manipulated the American Psychiatric Association into declassifying homosexuality as a mental disorder, today the Smithsonian honoree is now busily advocating bestiality "as long as the animal doesn't mind."

I had to do a double take. He is advocating bestiality "as long as the animal doesn't mind?????" What is this guy talking about. He is crazy, well we already know that buy come on.

Why is this happening? When we allowed the term "sexual orientation" into our society. What does this mean? Homosexuality? Is that the only sexual orientation. NO! That is the whole problem, we were tricked! This is a list of "sexual orientations" as described by the American Family Association.

We allowed one, where do you stop. You can't! Once you allow man to make the rules, who are we as men to judge on another as to who is right and who is wrong. (Just as the Canadian Human Rights Commission decides whose "ideas" are right and wrong.)

As weird as this is, I frequently visit a gay blog to see what is going on in their world. On this blog we were talking about marriage between same-sex. I brought the topic of "what happens next? are we going to see people marrying their pets." They answered "That is crazy, an animal can't consent!" Can you believe that their biggest activist doesn't agree with them.

Of course we are all saying to ourselves that this will never happen. This is the same thing our grandparents, even our parents said. They didn't ever think they would see the day that same-sex couples would marry in Canada. Unbelievable! Till next time

So I am back to the grind stone. Man a lot has happened out here in Canada. I am just so excited and just so consumed with what is going on in Politics out here. You thought the Obama-Clinton race was exciting. Well that has nothing compared to the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

You know the saying - "dive right in!", well that is exactly what we are going to do.

But something just as good, if not better is the "debate" that was held in Edmonton for the Canadian Association of Journalists. Ahhhhhhh!!!

That isn't an AHHHH! someone is after me, but an Ahhhh, sigh of relief. A sigh that finally someone is doing something. You ask me what, well, the Conservative government has tabled 2 new bills, part of their tough on crime stance.

The first, mandatory sentences for all those who deal drugs. Well it is a start, but to me it seems like a weak way to please the right and the left. They are going to give 1 year sentences to all who sell marijuana as part of an organized gang or when a weapon or violence is used. Also a 2 year sentence when selling harder drugs such as cocaine and heroin when selling to youths or near schools, and a 2 year sentence if you have a grow-up of 500 plants or more. This is a good start, at least gives the police a little more to work with.

The second, tougher crimes on identity theft. It will be illegal to collect personal documents belonging to others in order to commit fraud. Again, I am surprised something like this doesn't already exist. It is good to see some "tough-on crime" government bills getting into the house.

Family, what does it mean?

What does it mean to have a family?

Now this is a million dollar question. What is a family? Well, I would say a family is where there is a Dad and Mom, and children. But what does our society say a family is?

Just recently the California "Govanator" signed a bill which no prohibits teachers in public schools to use Mom and Dad in reference to parents. Inside the bill, it is also allowing "transgendered" individuals the right to use the washroom of their choice in the schools. Ouch, I think society was just dealt a kick in the groin. Mr. Schwarzenegger thinks that it is best if a child in High School is able to choose the bathroom of their choice. Oh boy, I can see problems arising from this new bill.

Included in this bill (now I am being serious) would be to stop having prom king and queens or allowing girls to be kings and guys to be queens. Cheerleaders and sports teams have to be gender neutral. This whole thing is out of control. There is now know limit to what can happen now. There will be an increase in bullying in schools, harassments (sexual and physical) will increase and this is going to include more problems with schools. I wonder why people can not look back and see how the traditional education systems was better.

An interesting find was that about 150 years ago, nearly 80% of Americans were self-employed. Today that figure is about 10%. About 150 years ago, over 85% of Americans were educated at home or in one-room, church-affiliated, community schoolhouses, and America’s literacy rate was over 95%. Today, 85% of American children are “schooled” [as opposed to educated] in public schools, and barely 60% of Americans can be called literate. Do you see a pattern here?

But let's go back to forbidding teachers to use "Mom and Dad" in classrooms when referencing parents. Do you really think that the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transvestite community) is really helping society. Do you feel that society is changing for the best? If you do, do you feel safer in this world?

Do you think by silencing the Mom and Dad aspect of family you are going to make what you have right? Dad and Dad just are not a family. Dad can not provide all the nurture a child needs, mothers have a certain love that a dad cannot provide, and I can attest to that. Certain things his moms can do better.

We have so many problems in this world. All because of the breakdown of the family. We have more single parents than ever in Canada, less people are getting married and there are more social problems to follow this lead. Society needs to start taking responsibility for their actions instead of letting the government run their lives.

Someone had to say it! It seems like those two words have become the scariest, most offensive words one can say now a days. I mean, let's face it, people are actually afraid of using those words in fear of OFFENDING someone. I mean come on! Stores are changing Christmas to Xmas or better yet "Happy Holidays", cities are banning the Christmas tree and removing Nativity scenes! Must be something to be embarrased about.

Get this, a town in Colorado is thinking of banning all trees, red and green lights and any other "Christian" aspect of Christmas. The Sheriff is not going to listen though, he said there is no reason to hide what they believe. Congrates Sheriff, why should Christians hide their holidays well the rest can be celebrated in the spot light.

Here in Surrey, BC it seems like every month there are ads in the paper for some celebration of other ethnic groups. We just had the holiday of lights "Diwali", and there were ads in the paper, news reports on T.V. and signs everywhere. This holiday could be compared to the Canadian holiday "Thanksgiving" - both signify the final harvest of the year. Yet, when I look at Thanksgiving, it no longer is about the harvest or thankfulness, it is just about a big dinner, long weekend and oh ya, another chance to pick up products for a "cheaper" holiday special price. Yet, during the Canadian Thanksgiving, there were no ads, no specials on T.V to celebrate our Thanksgiving.

It was actually quite ironic because during one of the T.V broadcasts, they were saying how diverse Vancouver was and how they were holding one of the largest Diwali celebrations in the Lower Mainland. Well, you know what good for them. It is great that they are celebrating diversity. It is great that we are open to religions and don't discriminate against anyone, except for a Judeo-Christian holiday. Good Friday and Easter for example are now just bunny and eggs, and yes a week of cheap shopping.

Why do people try so hard to push it away. Why can't society now say "Merry Christmas!" as it is a Christian holiday. Why can't there be Christmas trees in the public square or Nativity scenes at the city hall. After all, isn't that what Canada was founded upon - a Judeo-Christian society.

If you were to go to India, do you think they would stop celebrating the Diwali, because they didn't want to offend a certain ethnic group? NO! When people come to Canada, they expect to be joining a Judeo-Christian society. They don't come here to expect a Hindu society, or a Sikh society.

Well I am not going to be afraid to say it, and I don't want you to be either. Let's say it to everyone we see "Merry Christmas!", after all it is the most happiest time of the year.

Heterosexual Pride Event

In Oakville, California, the city celebrated diversity, homosexuality, and also some sensitivity training. They were making their employees come out and join in these "celebrations". Well some employees were sick of this being shoved down their throats, that they started up Heterosexual pride event. Alright, good for them, show that you are diverse in that you are a heterosexual - and proud of it. Well one of the employees of the city, who was a lesbian took them to court. What this is what was presented at the court hearing - the word's "natural family", "marriage", "the union of one man and one woman", can be punished as hate crimes according to a lawsuit which is being appealed at the US Supreme Court.

That's right people, HATE CRIMES. We are now at fault for believing that one man and one woman are natural. We are being muzzled by the courts.

Christians are such pushovers. I really have no idea why people are so intolerant towards Christians. I mean, okay people hate responsibility and the do not want to be told that what they are doing is wrong, but Christians. I mean come on, we don't strap on bombs and go after people who don't agree with us. We don't cut off hands of people who steal! We don't kill people if they have a different religion! I mean really what did Christians do to hurt our society, except consistently telling people they are falling astray and are doing sinful deeds.

Do you think there will be a time when the people (Christians) will stop allowing the courts to go on? I mean are we going to say "THIS IS ENOUGH, WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Currently we allow the courts to rule and the Parliament to do their job, because we are taught that authority is from God. But when the courts go against God, do we take it? I mean to say that saying men and women relationships are natural is hate crime? What is next, to say that being a Christian is a hate crime! I am beginning to lose faith in this society. We must stay strong and stick together and voice our concerns to those in authority. Let's stop sitting back and get involved, because one large voice is better then a single small voice.

Why God?

Let's take a minute to remember the passing of my cousin Craig Vanderveen and his friend Denise Veenendaal.

Today sadly the Lord has called unto himself a brilliant young man, Craig Vanderveen and his friend Denise Veenendaal. We now all question Why? Why would the Lord call to himself a 22 year old University graduate, who had plans of making a difference in the place he loved most - Canada - and also call a young woman, also seemingly at the beginning of her life? Many people would right away say "well what kind of God is this, who would allow such an injustice in this world."

This is not an injustice - for we read in Job 1 vs. 21
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I will depart
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”

I am Craig's older cousin and though we were not 'tight' cousins, we still were cousins. He was especially close (perhaps we should say best friends) to my youngest sister. But from what I know of Craig, you can know of him the same way - A guy who wore his heart on his shoulder. He helped his parents out with his disabled sister anytime that he was required. He was always quiet and content and even as he grew up, he never changed to being an obnoxious person, no, still a humble, content guy. He loved everyone, wanted to show God's love to everyone. Was never afraid to say what he believed. I think we can all take example of that. Read his favorite quote:
"Be the change you want to see in the world." Mahatma Ghandi

So true, and I think he lived that. He was trying to lead by example and for that, Craig, we are thankful for how you have lived by your beliefs, you never swayed, always stayed true to yourself.
Another good example, and I could not leave this out because this touched me so much, was his 'about me' on his facebook page:
"To experience a "normal" life one must live with blinders on, ignoring the mass injustices that exist in the world today. Nevertheless, one cannot live a full life, nor a Christian life, in such a false reality. One must open themselves up to the injustices in the world, both in one's day-to-day life and across the globe, dig deep, and get dirty in spreading the peace, love, and joy of Christ in both word and deed."

Bang-on! Many of us have these blinders on, we ignore the injustice in this world. This is where I have many troubles, why would God take into glory a young man who would have been able to help the church in this world today. Craig was well read in politics, law and business. A young man who would've stepped up to the plate and taken on a world of liberalism and anti-God movements. Like so many said before and I will say it again, God works in mysterious ways.

But what about us? How can we be comforted? We must remember that all things are God's will. Strange as it sounds, tragedy is when we know best that God's work is at hand. Let's look at Jesus' for instance. The devil worked in Judas' heart so that he would for 30 shekels turn in Christ - this was already prophesied by God, but the devil unwittingly played along. The devil worked in the hearts of the pharisees in such a way that they wanted Jesus to be executed by the Romans (and the Romans hung people on the CROSS), this was prophesied by Zachariah, Isaiah and by Psalm 22 and continually through the old testament. The devil unwittingly played into God's plan.

Remember too, the devil plays a role in our lives, with all the trials and temptations brought our way. But we are strong and only become stronger as we fight these trials and temptations. To top this, God will never give us a test that is too hard for us to overcome. How blessed we are!! Let's show our support to both the families, emotions must be shared and shown, and it is important to be there, even if we don't say anything. Job's 3 friends came to him and saw how troubled he was, sat for 7 days with him and no one said anything. That is good friendship. Remember the Sermon on the Mount - blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted and also in Romans 12:15. "Rejoice with those who rejoice: Mourn with those who mourn."

Craig,
You came forth from His hand and in just 22 years He called you back to His heart. In the words of Augustine "You have made us and directed us toward yourself and our heart is restless until we rest in you." Psalm 139:13-14, “You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you knew”. In Revelation 21:4-5a, 6b-7 we read “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!"

But God in His mercy and goodness sends many comforts as well through our friends and family and most importantly through His word. We can read in Matthew 6:20-21 which reads “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Another quote of Augustine “For almighty God…, because he is supremely good, would never allow any evil whatsoever to exist in his works if he were not so all-powerful and good as to cause good to emerge from evil itself.” Death is the result of sin and evil but through death we are born to eternal life. The cross leads us to the resurrection. “Death is swallowed up in victory. Where, o death, is your victory? Where, o death, is your sting?” I Corinthians 15:55.

So why again, would the Lord call up these young people? Because our God is so merciful and gracious to us, He in His infinite wisdom has planned our lives and molded us in His image so that when our task on earth is complete, we may live with Him eternally for ever and ever. May the name of the Lord be praised!

Leftist or should I say Liberalism

What is the deal with those guys and protesting. Or maybe we as the right wing should be more violent in our protests. Every time it seems that leftists don't get their way, they have violent protests. I look in Vancouver and every time there seems to be a VANOC meeting there is a protest. I look at any G-8 summit, there are always riots. I just don't get it. I mean, the guys behind the walls are seeing the riots, the may be hearing about them, but this isn't going to change their views on things.

If I have an idea in my head, and the country voted me in with this idea, I am not going to all of a sudden change because of some rioters outside.

Funny though, if conservative or right winged groups speak out in an orderly fashion we are tagged as intolerable people. Does this make sense? Is this equal treatment? NO! Already in this great Country of ours, we are being treated worse then our liberal counterparts. We are old fashioned and times have changed. Society is different and if you don't accept that then you are intolerable.

What about intolerable to us? Well they say, this is not true because they are tolerable. They are tolerable to everyone. So just because they don't except our beliefs doesn't make them untolerable it makes us untolerable because we should accept their believes over ours!! Does that make sense to anyone?

Good News for France

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP party has won a huge majority in the first round of voting in the French parliamentary elections. If Sunday's results are repeated in the second round June 17, Mr. Sarkozy will have virtually no opposition as he implements his new program. Anita Elash reports for VOA from Paris.

Good thing too for France, Sarkozy is an extreme right wing politician who wants to do major reforms in France. One key thing to note is that he is not keen on getting foreign money to support religion, ie. islam.

Let's pray that Sarkozy wins the election and is able to help reform France.

Overpopulation?!?

That's right Overpopulation.

We have heard this cry for sooooo long. But where is it happening? Not in western civilization. We are having a population decrease. Canada internally is having a population decrease each year. That is right people, a population decrease. Big cities don't have time for kids. With the Yuppies living the high life in their condos, working endless hours so they can have their yacht, cars, motorbike, girlfriends/boyfriends, party up on the weekend. When their "desires" have been fulfilled, then and only then do they want to slow down and say "hey, I want a kid". Being in their mid 30-40's they get their kid. Just one, and it is all done on their schedule. They want to control their lives. They don't want that "whinny" kid to worry about.

Finally the governments are starting to think that there may be a problem coming soon. Once the baby boomers pass on (which is a large portion of our society) who are going to pay the taxes? So what do they blame this problem on? Abortion? the anti-family push? Nope, they blame it on infertility. Between 1992-2006 Canada has allowed over 1 million babies to be aborted!!! Now if we think in terms of government, they have just allowed for 1 million taxpayers to be killed. That would be an easy solution to increase the birth rate in Canada. Make abortions Illegal, increase family funding or at least awareness. The Canadian government would rather have immigrants then to push a good family agenda.

Canada and it's people need to wake up and see what secularism is doing to this country. We need change and need it fast. Let's get up and fight for a change in the leftist agenda.

Judge Not, Lest Ye Be Judged

I like to think that this title speaks for itself...doesn't it. Today western civilization has turned its back on God. God is for the people who cannot figure things out for themselves. Us smart Judges know what is best. We understand law, and we can make laws.

How can one man judge another? How can a simple man judge another fellow brother? Are we not all equal. Who is to say that the judge knows best? Because he understands the law and has studied up on law? Again, how can that make him almighty? How is he able to give new laws. How can a judge tell another person that he is wrong, or that he has no right?

Okay, well there are the 10 commandments, which are still basically used today - or should I say some are used today - because the first 5 aren't used anymore, and adultery isn't a big deal, so I guess maybe stealing and killing. So let's start here. God gave man 10 commandments, and if he obeyed these commands we would live long in the land which the Lord gave to us. Okay so we have law. Now all we need to do is live according to the law.

Now man comes in and he says "we know better then God". Let's serve other gods (idols like celebrities, other religions, oneself, etc.) Let's not observe the Sunday. We can make money instead increase our economy. Oh here is another law, we don't need to respect our parents - they don't know anything. Parents don't have any "rights" over their kids. Let's take this law out. Kids know what is best. Alright killing, well that is still bad, so let's keep this one. Funny thing though, I was talking with a historian and he said that if we didn't have the law of God, we (man) would have had the common sense to know that killing was bad? We could? Man kills everyday, and some don't even blink an eye. This scares me because soon who is to say that killing is bad. Who knows, maybe one day the time will come where man's law will say - if you see anyone drinking and driving you can shoot him, because he is putting others lives in danger? I know it sounds crazy, but I am just putting it out there.

Stealing is another one, everyone probably stole something in their lives. It gives that rush, you know, getting something for free, and being really sneaky about it. I am guilty myself. My sister-in-law worked at a clothing store, and she said that if someone stole from them, the minute that person left the store he was a free man. They couldn't do anything!!! They were told by management to forget it. Well there you go, if you can get away with it then you are safe and can keep it.

Adultery - we are sexual beings. You can't tell me that we have to stay with one person. I have stronger desires then that. Divorce is so high in our country that you may think that it is the most natural part of life. Marriage - divorce - remarry - divorce - remarry - divorce - common-law. Society has no respect for one another, I have my own desires to fulfill.

So what can a judge do? How can a judge from this world say "No that is wrong?" If I want to marry my dog, because we have such a bond between eachother, and he is the only one that understands me, how can someone say I am crazy. You can't, and once you get the ball rolling you can't stop it either. Legalizing homosexuality because it is a person's right to have sex with the same sex. Same-sex marriage, because marriage isn't a family institute - it is a love institute and homosexuals have the same love. This is the most unnatural thing in the world. Even animals know better. Okay so the judges got the ball rolling, now where do they stop. The only thing judges can do to stop it is to do a complete 180 and go back to the 10 commandments and moralize the western civilization again. Remember Judges - Judge not, Lest Ye be Judged.

Women can freeze their eggs for future use?

Wow,

again we go back to the whole - when we want it - talk. Women are giving the opportunity to freeze their eggs now because frozen eggs from a women younger than 35 are better than "fresh" eggs from a 39 year old. This gives the woman an opportunity to first get their career out of them, they can feel accomplished instead of the ole' bare foot and pregnant status of women.

Women have far better uses today than raising children!?! The sad thing is is that it is the children who are going to suffer. Then of course the whole society. The crumbling of the family will destroy the foundation of the great Western society. Time will be the only way to tell, because it seems that the law (decided by man) knows what is best and we will not be able to convince them any until the unthinkable happens.

It is like anything, abortion, homosexuality, divorce, etc. There are horrible results. Abortion is not a healthy for the women - depression, the body does not go through the normal cycle and many other psychological problems. Homosexuality - AIDS, childless, not natural, violent, etc. Divorce - children feel like they were the reason for the split. Broken family does not give the child comfort in society - if something doesn't work just quit!?!

I mean the list goes on. The problem with the Law is that it doesn't stop. If you don't put the line down, there is no limit. The Bible is the Truth, with true laws, not man-made selfish unlimited laws. How can one man tell another man no!! How can we say that Judges are better than us. Just because they read some books doesn't make them any more righteous.

Woman's rights and feminists along with homosexuals will continue to bring down society with them because of their sinful and immoral ways. They know that their lives are not happy and fulfilled so they have to bring down others. And you know what, they are never going to be happy. They are always going to want more, aren't they? African Aid

Yesterday I heard two rock n' roll artists speaking on the condition of Africa. U2 front man Bono and Michael Morrello (Rage against the Machine, Audio Slave) speaking about the failure of the west to do anything in Africa. Africa is plagued with hundreds of millions of cases of Aids.

It is thought that Aids came from Africa from a monkey species. The catching of monkeys was a very common thing in the past. It was a violent procedure, where both monkey and man were beaten up by each other. This beating resulted in cuts and scraps and the transferring of blood. This is how Aids was introduced, and spread (quickly mind you) to an immoral society that consistently wants to do what WE think is right. This is in reference to how the virus spreads, mainly through many sexual partners, more commonly through same-sex relationships. In Africa though many children are born with the disease.

So here is the most common solution - doesn't require any money from the government, just a little responsibility from the individual. WAIT till marriage and have just one sexual partner. The chances of Aids is ZERO, no deaths, no sickness, no worries, no useless government money spent. We need to be educating Africans and all other countries where the Aids rate is high.

So what if someone is forced into sex with someone who has Aids? Unfortunately, in this world are evil men and women who joy in the pain of other people. The only thing we can do to them is reintroduce the death penalty or lock them up in solidarity for ever.

What about the person now infected by this awfuel disease? Well yes, I do agree that we should try to find a cure to heal people with Aids, I just don't think it should be our top priority. This is a disease that is spread by people with no responsibility. It is spread by People. People spread this disease, so they can do what they want, how they want it. They don't want responsibility. Cancer is a disease that people get, not because they were irresponsible. This is where the 100 of millions of dollars should be spent.

So to those Rock n' Roll Superstars who want to make a difference. Why don't they just take their millions and donate it to the Aids society and let our governments spend their money on things of more relevence to their countries. Canada's health care system is not 100%, why don't we spend $100 million to fix that up? This is affecting millions of people each day. Think about this. Thanks

Just a follow-up to the first one,

Today the Gays had their moment. Dancing on Rev. Jerry Falwell's grave - and people applauded this.

So I read on a gay website that "He may well have galvanized millions to fight the protected notion of separation of Church and State, but his legacy is as ugly and embarrassing as it was ever impressive."

So my question to those that belief this statement. "What does it mean separation of Church and State?"

What does this mean? We live in a democratic society. Meaning majority rules. Right? RIGHT!?! WRONG - at least in these peoples heads. As long as they are not in the winning seat they will not be happy. So what would happen if they were in the drivers seat. Then what? Would they not have their views pushed. YES, of course they would. They would so quickly change all the current laws to make it according to theirs. So then what? Does that mean they should separate Homosexuality and State?

Let's just stick with Majority Rules and Pray that the Christian voice will be heard and that we as Christians stick together (regardless of denomination) to move Canada in the right direction. Thanks

APC Vows to target Vanoc members at their offices and get this their homes

Ha,

So today the APC (anti-poverty committee) held a "rally" today to remind the Vanoc committee of their commitments to poverty. It ended peacefully, but not without the APC organizer David Cunningham, saying that they are going to go after the Vanoc members offices and homes and vulgarly evict them from their premises.

Okay, so you probably want a little background on this. Well the 2010 Winter Olympics are coming to Vancouver. Vanoc is the Vancouver Olympic Committee, a committee set up to get everything done - skating rinks, bobsled runs, ski jumps, that the city looks clean, etc. Sounds reasonable to me. This is the perfect opportunity to clean up the city.

So what is causing this little problem? Vancouver East side - infamous for Prostitution, homelessness and just plain shitty looking area of Vancouver (but one of two roads going into Vancouver goes through here via HWY 1). The past little while all the old buildings are being condemned, destroyed and new beautiful (not to be forgotten - CLEAN) buildings are being put up. Okay so there is a little problem, the old buildings were homes to thousand of homeless people, and these people were forced out of their homes (without warning). Sounds fair - where are these homeless people going to go? I hope not on the streets.

Thankfully the city has strict agreements with the developer, that every building going up has to have a certain percentage of Low-Income housing projects in each development. Great!!! a home for the homeless. Yes, well, no or apparently not. Now I don't know to much details on this but I guess not enough homes are being built.

I guess to some degree us more fortunate people should help those who are not as fortunate. But we don't help by just giving. Make them work? or do volunteer street cleaning to earn their keep.

Anyways, APC figures that since these homeless peoples homes were just taken from them, they were going to give the people who caused this to taste their own medicine. Oh ya, the APC is the group that represents the homeless. So what a great organization this is, to give someone a taste of their own medicine. These people are suppose to represent the people with no political vote. Well, I guess when you hang around with a certain crowd you end up becoming like one another. Unfortunately the APC is acting like the homeless would. To bad, because there are a lot of good people out there who like to help unfortunate people like the homeless. But when you are represented by a group of hooligans who would want to support that?

Religious Intolerance

Everyday we can here about how Christians are being persecuted throughout the Islam world (eg. Sudan, Iran, Indonesia, all over Africa) and the media does not blink an eye. But when a homosexual says they were gay bashed, etc. then the media goes AWOL and rights it up and down their papers and talk about it all day long on their TV and radio stations.

Then the homosexuals have the audacity to say Christians are hateful for not accepting them, when today we learn the exact same is coming from the homosexuals. Today Rev. Jerry Falwell, a prominent Evangelist died Read it here on a "prominent" gay activist blog http://mpetrelis.blogspot.com/ Michael Petrelis.

So what can we make of this? First off, both Canada and USA were founded upon Christianity. People have been turning their backs on God for decades now, and it seems that it is only moving faster. The nations seem to be doing everything they can to go against God's word. They don't want to be governed by anyone but themselves. Man wants no responsibility (which brings on more issues, suchas Abortion, Divorce, Pre-marital Sex/Adultery). They are pushing away from God as much as they can, and they want to take down those who are remaining faithful. They think that they can do what they want, but when we (Christians) do what God wants, then we are wrong because we are not doing what MAN wants but what this "unknown God" wants.

Anyways the main reason for this article was this report I saw on my homepage about Pakistan.
